UBU Blender Baby

Tenía muchas ganas de hacer esta entrada, de hacerla y de compartir con vosotros mi experiencia con la esponja UBU Blender Baby.
I really felt like doing this post, both doing it and sharing my experience on the makeup sponge UBU Blender Baby.

Compré la UBU Blender Baby en época de cambios. Estaba recién comprada mi Face and Body de MUFE y como sabéis, es tan fluida, que a veces no sabes con qué aplicarla.
Dudaba si hacerme con la famosa F80 de Sigma, pero vi esta esponja y me resultó muy atractiva y práctica.
I purchased UBU Blender Baby in a time of change. I had just bought my MUFE Face and Body, and as you all know, it is so runny, that you don't know what to use to apply it.
I considered to get the well-known Sigma F80, but then I found this sponge and it seemed pretty appealing and useful to me.

Y mientras me decidía, ya se sabe, "entre col y col...".
And in the meantime, while I made up my mind, you know..."variety is the spice of life".

Lo que hoy os presento, es un look inspirado en un tutorial de las hermanas Pixiwoo.

No creo que haga mucha falta presentarlas. Famosas gurús y makeup artists inglesas de YouTube que han conquistado al mundo con sus impresionantes maquillajes y simpatía.

Y además son guapas, o tienen esa telegenia natural que te mantiene pegada a la pantalla del ordenador.

De este look me llamó la atención el aspecto "mojado" que tienen la sombra en crema y el pigmento que usa. Recordé que tenía un jumbo de un color muy parecido y me animé.

I was drawn to the wet effect of the pigment and cream eyeshadow she uses. I remembered I had a jumbo with a similar effect to it and I did it.

No tengo la misma forma de ojos que Nic, ni un párpado tan grande, así que lo adapté "a mi manera" y a la forma de mi ojo. Quizás rescaté ese arco tan marcado que tiene Charlize en la foto, y que Nic difumina más.

I do not have the same eye shape as Nic, nor such a wide eyelid, so I made it "my way" adapting it to the shape of my eyes. Maybe I tried to do the marked arch Charlize is wearing in the pic and Nic blends out more.

Mac Studio Moisture Cream & Matchmaster Foundation.

Lo sé, habiendo mil productos para la piel seca, me tuve que topar con M.A.C.

Todo empieza un día tal cual, un día tonto, donde me paso por un stand de la marca para que me probaran una base de maquillaje. He pasado por un invierno catastrófico en cuanto a sequedad y descamación y buscar una base que no me resecara más era mi prioridad.

Tenía ganas de probar la Matchmaster, con eso de que es "la maestra en compatibilidad" y que, además de sequedad, tengo la piel muy clara.

La dependienta rápidamente observó la situación en la que se encontraba mi piel y me probó la nueva hidratante en gel de M.A.C para el día "Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel" (y sí, para leerlo hay que hacerse un máster...), luego aplicó la prebase de M.A.C y la Matchmaster.

De la Matchmaster tengo que decir que me puso la 1.0, la más clara de todas. Aparentemente es la mía, porque la siguiente 1.5 tenía la particular habilidad de ponerse naranja y demasiado oscura.

It all started a given day, a bad brain one, where I stop by a stand of the brand to try a foundation.
I have been through a hell of a winter in terms of flake and dry skin and one of my priorities was to find a good foundation.

I wanted to try Matchmater foundation, as it was a "perfect match" and my skin is both dry and fair.

The seller realized how my skin was and applied the new "Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel", then, the primer and Matchmaster foundation.


As regard as Matchmater I must say she applied 1.0, the lightest of them all. Apparently it was supposed to be my colour match, because the next one, 1.5 has the "ability" to turn orange and a tad dark.

"M.A.C y sus bases que tiran a naranja, no lo entenderé nunca"...

"M.A.C and their orange-ish prone foundations, who knows!"

Fue aplicármela y ya me noté como 2 tonos por debajo de mi color normal (NW15), la base se fue oxidando, pero se quedaba demasiado blanca para mi gusto.

Once she applied it I realized it was about 2 tones below my natural skin tone (NW15), it oxidized a little, but it turned out to be too "ghostly" for my taste.

Hace unas semanas aprendí algo que desconocía hasta la fecha: la duración de los rizadores de pestañas puede ser de aproximadamente un año (según el uso).
A few weeks ago I learnt something new so far: the duration of lash curlers is about a year (depending on the use).

Sin dilación, pero con el ceño fruncido, me fui al tocador a comprobar el mio. Ahí estaban los surcos en las gomas.
Without further delay, but frowning, I reached my dressing table to check mine. There they were, the lines on the rubber bands.

"Esto no puede ser bueno, me va a dejar el pelo doblado, o mucho peor, roto"
"This can't be good, it is going to bend my lashes, or even worse, broken"

Pero si la duración de un rizador es de más o menos un año, ¿merece la pena gastarse mucho dinero en uno?.

However, if the duration of a lash curler is about a year, is it worth the trouble to spend much money on one?

Tenía entre ojos (o entre pestañas) el rizador de Shu Uemura, cosas de bloggers, hasta que María de Makeupzone enseñó en su post "Rizadores de pestañas" el de Kevin Aucoin.

I had set my sight (or lashes) on Shu Uemura eyelash curler, bloggers' stuff, until Maria of Makeupzone showed the Kevin Aucoin one in her post "Rizadores de pestañas" (Eyelash Curlers).

"Este Kevin de mis entretelas, que siempre tiene que aparecer con los iluminadores y correctores, rompiendo moldes. ¿Ahora qué va a ser?¿Un rizador de pestañas?".

"This guy again, showing up with highlighters and concealers, breaking all the molds. What's next? An eyelash curler?"

Y entre el mío y el suyo, el gran abismo: el último tiene la goma redondeada.

Decidido, no quería más gomas planas, más formas en "l".

I had made up my mind, no more flat rubber bands, more "l" shapes.

Encontré este rizador de pestañas por un precio tan ridículo, que dejar de probarlo era un sinsentido.
